How to get the most our of your cleaning budget

Quality Cleaning • Mar 18, 2024

With the year promising to be tough financially for many businesses, it is a time that we reassess our expenses, what we get and what we need.

It is important that your cleaning is tailored to your requirements, and that the cleaning company is flexible to change as your business needs change.  Reducing cleaning charges will change for each business, but below are some ideas for you to consider when looking at your cleaning bill.

 - Having one centralised bin for the cleaners to empty.  This may involve either your staff emptying their own bins into a central office bin, or only having a central office bin, where your staff can put their rubbish.  It is a lot quicker to empty one bin, than a bin at every desk.

 - Desk cleaning - you may ask staff to be responsible for the cleaning of their own desks.  Usually desks are cleaned at the end of each week, and depending on the number of staff you have this could save quite a bit of time.

 - Dishes - ensuring staff either do their own dishes, or have a kitchen roster where staff take turns at doing the dishes at lunchtime and the end of the day.

- Have your staffing levels gone down, reducing the cleaning requirements.  Although you still have the same space, reduced staff can mean reduced mess, and sometimes, although not always, can reduce the amount of time required to clean your office or worksite.

 - Topping up of consumables in the toilet.  This may be your cleaners responsibility, but could be something that one of your team could do.

Although some of these things may seem like only a few minutes, they all add up, and could mean a reduction in your cleaning bill.  At Quality Cleaning Services, not only do we tailor your cleaning schedule to your requirements, we are also very flexible, and able to change as your requirements change.

If you need to review your cleaning, just give us a call, we will pop in and see you, and work through your new requirements.
